So this playlist is supposed to be songs that I love so much that I will never get sick of. So far there are one or two that I have gotten sick of. Here is to one song that I know that will never happen with:

Morgan Taylor Reid - Brighter

New song find from one of my TV shows. A show that I will not admit I watch due to fear of persecution. If you know it because you also saw the episode, then you are probably also too afraid to admit it. Either way, here is the song!!!

 

Dexys Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen

This song came on my drive home last night. I turned it up so loud and rocked out (as much as you can to this song). Anyway, it was pretty an amazing few minutes and it also doesn't get much better than this video! Happy Throwback Thursday!

The XX - Angels

I was shocked when I realized I have never posted a song by one of my FAVORITE FAVORITE bands.  I have seen The XX twice and both times were like an out of body experience (and no not because I was on anything) but because when they perform you go into an absolute trance. You end up swaying to the music with your eyes shut, mesmerized. They are totally hypnotic. To see them at The Hollywood Bowl had to be one of the most amazing moments of my life. As my friends and I say, "sex music". I think it may have actually been used in an sex scene in House of Cards if I remember correctly. But definitely, the most sexy band ever. Here is my favorite XX song!

 

Vampire Weekend - Unbelievers

Just because Vampire Weekend will always have my heart. And I am still holding out for the drummer. But in all honesty, the three times I have seen Vampire Weekend have been three of my favorite moments. Especially the first time at Splendour in the Grass. No one else around me seemed to be into them, so I just danced around like a loser by myself. And then at The Hollywood Bowl, I remember dancing on the benches, drenched in sweat because it was one of the hottest days (at this point it was late at night) LA had seen in September. It was amazing. My good friend Nat was also in town and hadn't heard of Vampire Weekend (she thought it was a Twilight fan festival) and was quite confused at our excitement.

 

Echosmith - Cool Kids

I had to shazam this song in the car yesterday. I don't want to like it because of the lyrics, but I do. I just want to make my point that trying to be cool is never cool. Be who you are, be a dork, just be yourself, that is cool. Ultimately, the only cool people in my eyes are the ones who are courageous enough to be themselves. But hey, that is just my opinion. And what would I know, I am just a dork! ;)

Another song from the playlist we loved on Saturday at Alternative on Larchmont Blvd. A big shout out to whoever's iPhone that was. I can not stop singing this song.

Two Door Cinema Club - Next Year (RAC Remix)

Shazam has really become my friend this weekend. I just keep going places and hearing songs I love that hadn't heard before. I do not normally like remixes but the RAC remix of Next Year is amazing. Papa - I Am the Lion King

Today I was browsing the shops of Larchmont Blvd, with one of my favorite people (you know who you are Andrew Peacock), while watching this boy try on clothes I was captivated by the playlist that the shop had on. Here is one of the many songs that we Shazam-ed. Andrew then made me listen to it on repeat while pre-drinking and getting ready for our Nochella Party. Miss you already Mr. Peacock.

Kongos - Come With Me Now

I have been crushing on this song for a while now and I keep meaning to post it. Always makes me dance in my car. There are some parts where I feel like I am listening to Muse and then other parts where I hear The Black Keys, so basically this song is amazing is what I am trying to say.

This song made me dance at my desk today. I forced my co-worker to dance with me.
